In the libraryHe sighed heavily, his breath making a white cloud in the frosty air. He was waiting outside the library, where it had been decided that they would meet, and now he found himself quite alone. No sign of the boy who had practically begged to tutor him. Fuck. He thought, as he kicked at some of the road salt strewn across the pavement. There was no way he was going to pass the finals now. Not that it mattered, really, but it would be nice to avoid redoing high school. At that moment, a panting noise turned his attention from his own inner musings, and onto a boy. About seventeen years of age, he was carrying a book bag and quite out of breath.

I'm really intrigued as to why I haven't submitted this before... I finished it days after the contest was announced :)
The generator result I got was the "Aristocrat of invention" and I made a little write up to go with it!


This Card, the third person encountered on the fool’s intergalactic journey, is similar to the empress card, but with some singular differences. The empress is all about life, growth, and hope- she is a great mother, all about fertility, nurturing, and waiting. This card is a good match for invention. Ideas need to be tended and loved, so they can grow and bear fruit, and in this respect the card much resembles the empress. However, this card is colder, more proud. Instead of wheat, the background is roses, a beautiful but thorny plant. Some pomegranates remain, as do the token goddesses, Venus and Demeter, but the aristocrat has silver hair, for technological growth, instead of gold. This card is a study in contrast, nurturing and proud, fertility and sterile mechanics, but all of the elements come together to work, and guide the querent along their path.
